Some moments aren’t planned. They just happen — and those are the ones worth chasing.

The quiet glance she stole when she thought no one was looking. The way he held her face like it was the most natural thing in the world. A smile that broke through mid-ritual because they caught each other’s eye. These two didn’t need direction — their connection did all the talking.

This is what we show up for. We move quietly, we watch closely, and we wait. Not for the perfect frame — for the real one. The tension before a look becomes a smile. The tenderness in a gesture that lasts half a second. The in-between spaces that don’t announce themselves but somehow hold the most weight.

Documentary at heart. Editorial in eye. Always shaped by light, composition, and unscripted moments.

A hand-painted Anita Dongre lehengha, cascading blooms in every shade of spring, and a mandap framed by classic stone walls and rolling greens. Some things take months to imagine and one golden afternoon in Italy to make real. ✨

When Jyoti () and I (Jo) first began dreaming up this shoot, we knew it would be something special. This editorial has been living in our dreams since the first mood board — every detail carefully considered, every bloom intentional, every frame a love letter to la dolce vita. Months of planning, a flight to Italy, and the most incredible group of collaborators — all for this. Bringing it to life alongside the most extraordinary team of creatives was nothing short of magic. Everyone was so much fun to work with — they all brought their A-game. We cannot thank everyone enough.

Our vision was to create scenes that inspire brides who are thinking of having a fusion or South Asian destination wedding in Italy, or other European destinations.

Priya, Ankit and a Hindu ceremony filled with meaning at Lionhead Golf Club. The mandap created from pink bougainvillea and cherry blossoms, awash in natural light, gave this space such a timeless feel. Photographing Priya was a joy: not only is she gorgeous, she has a disarming laugh that makes for natural, candid moments for us to document.

Halley & Vaibhav love polaroids. Something about committing a moment to print by fanning its impression into existence with your fingers just feels magical. And magic is what this couple brought for their Indian Hindu wedding at the Madison Greenhouse in Newmarket, Ontario. We especially love the natural glances and smiles exchanged in these photos, and can’t get over their editorial portraits after the ceremony.

An evening wander through DIA: ruminations on creativity.  

Yasmin & Hardeep held their Engagement Party at the Detroit Institute of Art, one
of our favourite venues to photograph in. While the exterior of the building
serves as a popular, majestic backdrop for wedding photos, the interior is like
entering the folds of a dream: a thoughtful choice for couples who admire art,
and desire an intimate space for their event in the middle of this oasis of
inspiration.  

The modern courtyard became the perfect setting for their Engagement. However, our favourite part was their portraits in and around the museum and art galleries. Together, we explored ornate chambers that reminded us of Versailles, airy spaces of Riviera Court soaked in natural light and immersive frescoes of Mexican Muralism, and
attempted to create, within the rouge luminescence of galleries, portraits
inspired by far greater artists that surrounded us.  

Yasmin had a distinctive and bold vision for the mood she had in mind for their
portraits & event photos. We’re incredibly happy for the opportunity to bring it to life.

Abi & Anojan | a Tamil wedding ceremony at the Royal Ambassador Event Centre in Caledon, Ontario.

We connected with Abi instantly during our initial meeting, both of us sharing with each other our love for a clean, minimalist aesthetic that resonates across generations.

A great videographer in her own right, the mature visual language she had in mind for her wedding day was super exciting.

A blend of playful portraits on the sprawling green grounds of Royal Ambassador, the spontaneity of emotions during the traditional ceremony, and timeless moments between her and Anojan.
