I had always dreamed of seeing puffins, and during a trip to Eastern Canada this summer I finally realized that dream. They are also called "clown of the sea" for a very good reason; they are quite hilarious in the air, flapping their small wings quite rapidly and sometimes giving the impression that they do not really know where to land! I was amazed at how they can perfectly line up fish in their beak.

This photo was taken Dec 26th at 1pm as the sun was setting over the water in Thingvellir National Park. Winter sunsets have amazing light and colour saturation. I took this with a Samsung S23 Ultra phone.

Toronto, King Street, Financial District. I've never shot from this vantage point before... That day, the smog from the Ontario wildfires was unbearable. The sky was a dirty yellow, glowing from within. I waited a long time for the flag to unfurl, but... There was no breeze; the air was like a jar of Vaseline. It seemed as if the skyscrapers were lowered by the pressure...
