How adorable is this coyote pup? This little one was just chilling in the grass, eating mulberries. Luckily I had my camera and 150-600mm lens on me, so I was able to get some close-up shots without disturbing the little one.
It has been incredible to have a coyote family living in my Toronto neighbourhood, but I do look forward to seeing the pups grow up and disperse, and hopefully find their way to a ravine with more space to roam — without encountering humans and off-leash dogs. Right now they are just living day to day, relying on mom and dad to check in and care for them. Come fall or winter, they will likely move on. Until then, let's give them space, NOT feed them, and keep dogs on a leash. If we do this, I believe we can peacefully coexist with these beautiful animals. ❤
