Livingface Photography has been taking corporate headshots for CIBC Private Wealth Management for four years. We just did another round for them. Here are all 26 people we photographed - completed in only 45 minutes. Maybe that's why they look so good, relaxed and happy :) BTW, everyone receives two final headshots, in colour and B&W.

Corporate Knights bills itself as 'the voice for clean capitalism'. It has been at the forefront, in Canada and globally, in advocating for maximum corporate social responsibility, especially where the environment is concerned. Every year they acknowledge the most innovative and effective companies on these fronts. This year they held their event at the Gardiner Museum - a wonderful spot for corporate event photography. A couple of weeks ago we received a call from Tricon Residential at 9:30am with an 11th hour request for photography at 1pm. Fortunately, nimble as we are!, we were able to pivot this way and that to be available. A refreshing feel-good project, we photographed a tour of 25 people made up of various stakeholders (including municipal, provincial and federal government, Tricon Residential, Ellis Don (the builder) and a number of non-profits, including Indigenous organizations) as they got to witnessed a massive decade-long affordable housing project coming close to fruition. It's always nice to see people involved in meaningful work with profound impacts. Here are some pix:

Recently, we photographed Coldwell Banker's 3-day gathering. It began with an evening casual cocktails at Jump Restaurant, followed by two days of meetings and presentations at The Westin Harbour Castle. Keynote speakers do not always manage to capture the attention of their audiences. In this case, both keynote speakers, Kelley Keehn ("expert on all things money") and Michael Vickers (Sales and Marketing Motivator) were excellent. Here are some pix:

Livingface Photography has been DPAA's photographer of choice in Canada and New York City for the last 4 years. After two missed years, recently DPAA (Digital Place-based Advertising Association) once again held their annual Canada Summit. The venue this time was the Scotiabank Theatre, which was a creative choice for corporate event photography. With speeches and presentations in one of the movie theatres, and cocktails and mingling in the main area, it turned out to be both a cool and functional location. And it's always a pleasure to work with the DPAA team. Here are some pix:

Recently, we photographed an event for Johnson & Johnson at The Omni King Edward Hotel. 3 subsidiaries celebrating their year in separate rooms. 3 photographers. On a personal note, my room had the most entertaining keynote speech in my 20 years of photographing corporate events - which makes the job that much more fun and inspiring. One fun trend at corporate events is to bring in a magician during cocktails. The combination of a couple (or more!) drinks and a magician works well, especially with sleight of hand that happens right in front of you. The reactions are great :)
