Sometimes I wonder what my kids will remember about these years.
Will they remember me always working? Always editing, shooting, setting something up, answering an email, recording a podcast, chasing another idea?
I hope they remember more than that.
I hope they see that you really can start something from the ground up. That dreams don't just happen because you want them badly enough. They take work. Late nights. Early mornings. Sacrifice. Passion. And a whole lot of showing up when you're exhausted.
I hope they see me doing something I love and learn that they're capable of building something of their own, too.
I hope they grow up knowing that it's okay to dream big, but that you have to be willing to work for those dreams.
And most of all, I hope they always know that even on the days when i was busy, even on the days when I was running out the door with a camera bag, they were always at the centre of it all.
I'm working hard to build a life for them.
To give them opportunities.
To show them what's possible.
And hopefully, to leave them with something bigger than me.
I hope one day they look back and don't just remember how hard I worked.
I hope they understand why. 🤍
It was always for them.
Ps. Im still working on the taking breaks part 🤣
