What is blue hour ?

There’s a small window just after sunset known as blue hour. Usually just 10–15 minutes after sunset.The light is softer, cooler, and more balanced,creating a clean, almost cinematic feel.

It doesn’t happen for long, but when it aligns with the timeline, it adds a quiet kind of magic to the day.

It’s not something I force into every timeline, but when we plan for it, it can elevate your gallery in a really timeless way.

I’ve been loving poems lately, and I saw this one and had to share.

She stands in the quiet before everything changes,
wrapped in silk, in breath, in becoming.

Not just a bride,
but a story written in softness and strength,
in every step that led her here.

There is a stillness to her now,
the kind that holds both
the girl she was
and the woman she has become.

And in this moment,
before the music,
before the vows,
before the world rushes in,
she carries it all with grace,
like it was always meant to be.

The little girl
who once reached for her hand
now stands in white,
ready to begin a life of her own.

And in this quiet embrace
no words are needed.

A mother’s arms remember
every scraped knee,
every bedtime prayer,
every year that passed too quickly.

Some of my favorite moments to capture during a wedding day are actually the quiet ones… the details.

The candles being lit, the florals carefully placed, the cake waiting for its moment, every element chosen to reflect the couple’s vision for their day.

It’s amazing how these small touches come together to create the atmosphere everyone will remember.
