Little Stevie has given me quite a scare over the last couple of days, so I’m running a little behind on my sneak peeks. Thank you all for your patience and understanding - I just wanted to give a huge shout out to Jet and Stevie’s vet.

True story: I know a lot of people with dogs, and I know a lot of people who know Dr. Mark Dilworth. Do you know what every single one of them says about him?
“He’s really special, he’s different, I just hope he knows how much we love him”
Not just a fantastic vet, but an exceptionally kind human being. Time and time again, people tell me the same thing: “I’ve never met anyone quite like him.”
For me, it’s rare to meet someone who has such a profound impact on so many people, quite apart from the incredible level of care he gives to animals. The compassion he shows to both his patients and their owners is something I’ve honestly not experienced in so long.
I just hope he knows how deeply appreciated and adored he is Toronto wide. We love you Mark - thank you for everything you do. ❤️❤️❤️

Sneak peek of adventure boy Watson cooling off after an epic session this morning!

His mum told me, ‘Our previous dog was a terrier. So we were well acquainted with the personal agenda prioritization that is life with terriers. If you throw a ball, prepare for them to sit down stare into your soul and say “you idiot, if you wanted that- WHY would you through it across the yard?”. We were lucky to have our last dog for 17 years and not once did he ever return anything that had been tossed. On the day we brought Watson home a tossed a little stuffy across the carpet and the first thing he did was bring it back to me. As a tiny puppy to a person he only met a few hours before. Full disclosure he has his own agenda - which generally involves you continuing to toss balls long after your arm is tired - but it was such a contrast to our previous dog that it helps Watson establish himself on his own terms right out of the starting gate. ‘

We had a really special session with 14 year old superstar Indiana! - Indy has chosen some large wall art, prints and good old fashioned cards for birthdays and holidays. I can’t wait to see Indy larger than life on the wall - we’re printing on metal at 20x30 inch! It’s going to be larger than Indy!! 🌻🌻🌻

Indy’s mum told me, ‘Indy is a cute and well-mannered adventure partner, so it’s not unusual for him to get lots of positive attention and comments when we’re out and about. For so many years until he turned twelve, people would ask how old he was, and I’d reply in years but they would question, “Months?” Because despite his many health conditions, he has always maintained a positive attitude and youthful appearance. Sometimes he’s so well behaved, we’ve had airline attendants ask if he was drugged or drivers ask if he was sick! But one of his biggest gifts has been how he’s eased the transition to our new country. He starts conversations, he helps us meet our neighbours. One market vendor told us while petting him, “You’re doing a public service, this is community care.” Indy grew to love white rice, which we often reverted to when he was having an allergy flare-up. And when we moved to Toronto, we needed to find a new restaurant to buy from! We found a place near the ferry terminal, where we would go an average of once a week just for a bowl of rice to go for Indy. After a couple visits, the workers stopped asking for our order — they would just start it as soon as they saw us. It was such a small, wordless gesture, but it was one of the first signs that we had started to find our community here. All me and Indy needed was some white rice and kind people, and we were home.’

Needless to say, their was rice at his photo session, and we’re so glad you two are loving Toronto!

Sneak peek of another fantastic session this morning, this time with 14 year old superstar Indiana! Jack found a new tree stump which Indy was very proud to show us his modelling skills on! Such a lovely morning, we captured so many framers and I can’t wait to show Indy’s mum.

The light at sunrise is simply magical. There’s something so peaceful and beautiful on these quiet early mornings. For me, it’s the best way to start the day. I wouldnt want to be doing anything else.🌅💯🌅

Sweet Bear, pictured on the right, sadly left us shortly after this session. He lived a long and wonderful life and was so loved. I’m so grateful we were able to capture these memories for Bear’s mum to treasure forever.❤️❤️❤️

Sneak peek of the delightful Rufus from an absolutely wonderful session with his Dads!

Rufus’s Dad told me, ‘One day I took Rufus grocery shopping and ran into an elderly couple that did not speak a lick of English but wanted to pat him on the head. After she did they followed us around until I went over to try and introduce ourselves. I was on my knees patting my shoulders showing her how he hugs and this 90ish year old woman got down into her knees and he hugged her while she wept. He licked every tear and not a word was exchanged between us but the power and emotion was palpable. When I returned to my groceries, the cashier told me he was welcome in the store anytime ❤️❤️❤️.’
