Sneak peek of a wonderful morning with Colette, or “Coco” to her friends. ❤️
Her mum told me, ‘Coco, in my not-so-humble and completely biased opinion, is the sweetest and cutest little poodle around.💯💯💯
Weighing in at just 2.7 kg, this tiny girl is happiest curled up on her human’s lap or strutting her stuff through Trinity Bellwoods on a sunny day. Dainty, adorable, and impossible to ignore, Coco regularly stops people in their tracks as they ooh and ahh over this gorgeous little lady.’
For Coco’s session, I wanted to take advantage of one of my favourite fleeting signs of early summer: the fluffy, cotton-like seeds of the Eastern Cottonwood poplar tree. They only blanket the ground for a week or two each year, so when I saw them, I knew I had to incorporate them into her portraits.
Coco’s mum had also mentioned how much she loves it when I include flowers in my images, so we brought along some roses and scattered petals amongst the soft white cotton. It felt like the perfect setting for fluffy little Coco, surrounded by clouds, flowers, and all the sweetness that suits her so perfectly. 🌹☁️
