Working with Shawna Darou, ND over the years has been one of those creative relationships I’m incredibly grateful for. With the help of the fantastic Samantha Pickles and the beautiful space CASA BONA this shoot became everything I wanted it to be.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of working with yet again! And this time we really went for it. Shawna gave me full creative control. Her trust in my vision for her content is such a gift. I was free to push some boundaries and take her content to the next level. I decided to try a new space and rent . This space was perfect. No surprises just stunning. And with the help of I knew we had all the pieces to make this shoot spectacular. Sam has an incredible way of making my clients feel at ease while having their hair and makeup done. She brings such good vibes and collaborates with me which I truly appreciate. This shoot gave me energy. I was flooded with ideas and the creative juices were flowing. Can’t wait to share all that we created.

This is my ‘bad side’.
Everyone has something they don’t love about themselves and wish they could change.
Some people have a side that they prefer.
Some people have a tooth that’s a bit crooked and it holds them back from smiling.
Some people didn’t get the hair appointment and want their roots filled in.
Literally every one of my clients has something. Tell me what is it and let me eliminate that thought for your session.
I will deal with whatever it is. And not in a weird, make you look like a robot type of way. The way I retouch is subtle. And the way I pose you, you will look like yourself. I strive for this type of result because so many of my clients are client facing! Meaning they come face to face and I want them to be recognizable. I want their clients to land on their website and feel like they are being greeted by them. A ’Get to know you before they even meet you’ type of vibe. So tell me what the thing is and let’s move on.
I guarantee its something your clients wouldn’t notice or care about but I also know, it bothers you. So let’s just take that thought out of your mind. I’ve got you. Be yourself, take a deep breath. And enjoy the photo session.

Working with was an absolute dream. Kathryn is incredible at what she does, and I know that firsthand because she was the realtor who helped us on our journey when buying our first home. It’s so special to think that after going to high school together, our paths would cross again and we’d get to collaborate as business owners.
This session was thoughtfully planned well in advance—from securing the perfect space at to bringing the talented sampickles on board for hair and makeup. Every detail came together seamlessly.
The goal was to refresh Kathryn’s headshots and create intentional, elevated content for her brand, and I feel so lucky that I was the one she trusted to bring her vision to life.
When strategy and beautiful imagery come together, the result is content that works just as hard as you do.
