You'll find me out and about with my camera taking pictures of anything that catches my eyes. I've been thinking about turning my hobby into a business and thought with the new year coming up, 2015, maybe I should do just that. At first I'll start off small. Doing head shots, scenery shots, portfolios, maybe some glamour shots, family photos and pictures of children. When I get more experienced I
plan to buy better cameras, buy a Santa suit so I can do Christmas pictures, eventually leading up to getting a green screen set up. I don't plan to start off charging a lot for photos. Maybe $20 to 25$ an hour. I'll come up with better prices for more picture options as I have time to think about them. But as everybody says: Baby Steps. This is on a trial run at the moment. I do not have a lot of the professional type equipment people in the photography profession have, but I am looking into things, looking up things and putting my future plan together. So far, the idea is this: Take jobs as a photographer for simple things, like portraits and head shots, etc, get paid and then give the people their photos most likely via USB thumb drive. Once I get some money saved up, I can buy better cameras, lenses, props, etc and just get bigger and better.
