A city on water with over 400 bridges, Venice provides endless photographic opportunities. Though often swarming with tourists, the magic of Venice is best experienced in early mornings or late nights when you’re left to absorb the mythical history and magnificence of it all.

With its 72 waterfalls, endless rolling hills and towering rock walls, Lauterbrunnen is one of the most idyllic places I've ever visited. This magical Alpine town is a definite 'must-see' in Switzerland.

Most photographers would agree that landscape shots on IG are largely under appreciated. I myself, am guilty of posting mostly portrait crops because of this. And yet, whenever I poll my followers, at least 90+% appreciate the landscape more than the portrait crop. So I’ve resolved to posting what I love, in the way it was shot, without overthinking about if it will be well-received. After all, if I love it, shouldn’t that be enough?

That said, this is one of my favourite images of the Roman Forum, taken on a very early morning in Rome, shot wide. This is a blend of 3 shots, two stops apart, using luminosity masks to more precisely control for the highlights and shadows. If you’ve never used them, I highly recommend downloading a luminosity mask plug-in for Photoshop. This really helped with my post processing in blending the exposures to expand the dynamic range that you normally don’t get with just one shot.
