Next up in our Door Family Shelter series are Esther and Kevin (and their adorable four-legged sidekick 🐾).

One of my favourite things about shooting for the Red Door is meeting people who choose to give back not because they have to, but because they genuinely care. Esther and Kevin are a wonderful example of that.

Couples who share a passion for something bigger than themselves are a pretty special team! Having a cause you both care about is such a meaningful way to spend time together, create memories, and make a positive impact along the way. And let's be honest... every community mission is a little more fun when your dog gets to be part of it too!

It was a pleasure photographing the three of them, and I'm so grateful for generous, kind-hearted people like Esther and Kevin who continue to show up for Red Door Family Shelter.

Next up in our Red Door Family Shelter series are the founders of Bloom Forward.

These women aren't waiting for someone else to tackle the gaps in women's health—they're getting to work themselves. Through Bloom Forward, they're building a nonprofit that connects charities, foundations, researchers, healthcare professionals, industry, and government to move women's health advocacy forward and create real community around it.

I loved meeting them. They're smart & driven. The future is in good hands with young women like them leading the charge and creating more opportunities for other women along the way.

It was a pleasure photographing them, and I'm looking forward to watching Bloom Forward grow.

The next person I'd love to introduce you to is Eleanor Bothwell.

Eleanor is one of the many people who chooses to support Door Family Shelter and I'm so glad our paths crossed through this project.

One of my favourite surprises from the day? She brought her dogs along for the photos. As much as I love photographing people, I'm never going to complain when a couple of four-legged friends join the session too :)

What I love most about this series is seeing the many different ways people support their community. Some volunteer, some fundraise, some advocate, and some quietly give what they can. Every contribution matters, and together they help make Red Door's work possible.

Thank you, Eleanor, for being part of that community. It was such a pleasure photographing you and your sweet sidekicks!

Next up in our Door Family Shelter series is the fantastically funny Allison Dore.

Allison is the founder of Howl & Roar Records, co-host of , and one of Red Door Family Shelter's biggest champions. Every year she's a major hype woman for Coldest Night of the Year, helping rally support for an organization that changes so many lives.

I had an absolute blast photographing her. We took some serious headshots to promote her serious awesomeness... all in the name of laughter, community, and doing hella good for the people around us.

The thing about Allison is that she brings community wherever she goes. She's funny, genuine, generous, and the kind of person who makes other people want to show up and help too.

I'm so grateful to have met her through Red Door, and I can't wait to introduce you to more of the incredible people who make this community what it is.

Last month, I had the privilege of photographing some of the incredible people who make the Door Family Shelter community what it is.

Over the next little while, I'll be introducing you to a few of them... the families, volunteers, supporters, and local businesses who all play a part in building something pretty special.

This beautiful family is where we're starting.

Red Door isn't just about helping people through a difficult season. It's about creating a community where kindness has a funny way of coming full circle. People support one another, grow stronger, and then find their own ways to give back. That's the kind of ripple effect we need more of and I love being a part of it :)

The impact is real. Every year, Red Door supports more than 200 families through its shelters, along with counselling, children's programming, housing support, and a dedicated food bank to help families build lasting stability.

Food security, safe housing, and dignity shouldn't feel out of reach. Until they aren't, organizations like Red Door and the people who rally behind them make an incredible difference.

I'm excited to share more of Red Door's supporters over the coming weeks. I hope you'll follow along.

More from this summer session... ☀️

This time we wandered through the Beaches, where you get the best of both worlds—lush gardens one minute, Lake Ontario the next. Not a bad office, if you ask me.

One of my favourite parts of this job is getting to watch families grow up. Every year the kids are a little taller, a little bolder, and have about 37 new ways to make me laugh. It's honestly the best. I love that this little bebe kept signing to me "all done" over and over during our session. lol... ouch!

If it's been a while since we've hung out, let's fix that. And if we've never met, come see what all the fuss is about.

Hope you're all enjoying summer!

One of the best parts of this job? Meeting people right at the beginning of a brand new chapter.

I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet little family for the first time, and I don't think anyone stopped smiling the entire session... including Taco the Dog!

Babies have a funny way of slowing everything down... watching tiny fingers wrap around yours or catching a sleepy yawn feels like the biggest event of the day. I remember my favourite thing to do in the summer with my littles was just getting out to the farmers market and eating cucumbers :)

I hope this family has a summer full of firsts, fresh air, messy picnics, stroller walks, and all the little moments that somehow become the ones you remember most.

Thanks for trusting me to capture the start of this adventure. I have a feeling there are a lot of great memories ahead. ❤️

Whoever named the RC Harris Water Treatment Plant did it absolutely no favours.

Because despite sounding like a place where pipes get cleaned, it's actually one of the most ridiculously beautiful spots in the city. Giant Art Deco architecture? Check. Lake views? Check. Plenty of room for kids to run around like tiny maniacs while I quietly pretend that was the plan all along? Also check.

These two understood the assignment as they cartwheeled their way into the summer holidays.

If you've been thinking about booking family photos, don't wait until you're competing with pumpkin patches and back-to-school schedules. Summer has a sneaky way of disappearing overnight, and my fall calendar fills up fast.

Let's go play outside while we still can.

Wrapping up M & S’s close‑knit celebration at the stunning Crown Prince Fine Dining and Banquet! Between the emotional speeches, the endless food courses, and the love radiating from every corner, it was impossible not to leave with a full heart (and belly).

Thanks for coming along for the ride. Weddings aren’t my usual beat, which made this one extra special. Big love to Sasha and Michelle for inviting me into their day!

As we continue the mini-chapters of Sasha and Michelle's wedding day, I had to include the receiving line as its own entity.

Take a look at its length then imagine genuinely hugging every single person with your whole heart and a sky full of appreciation. These newlyweds give excellent hugs.

I'll admit that receiving lines can sometimes feel a little repetitive to photograph, but not this one. Every hug seemed bigger than the last, and it was pretty clear just how loved Michelle & Sasha are by the people around them.

It was a lot of fun to witness!
