The great debate.

I swear I spend hours just booking at the same photo in colour or black and white. Sometimes it’s so challenging to decide. Other times, I know exactly what I’m going to love and am capturing the session to ensure those black and whites are stunning.

Have you ever framed portraits of your family and hung them on the wall?

I recently had a debate with my brother on whether or not we should hang family portraits on the wall.

My thoughts were that we should be celebrating the family. It helps gives kids a sense of belonging and being loved no matter the age.

He didn’t want this boring portrait of everyone looking at the camera.

When I shared with him that art is not about having everyone look at the camera but about creating images that can be passed down through generations of the joy, love and connection he shares with his wife and children, he could finally see how valuable that would be.
