Join me this Thursday, April 2nd at Ok Studio in Toronto at 6pm for a public screening of my father's film Josepha shot in 1975 in Paris. The film documents one of the first beauty salons for Black women in the city. It explores questions of identity, feminism, and self-empowerment that still resonate today. Free public screening. In French with English subtitles.

Je vous invite ce jeudi 2 avril à une projection publique du film de mon père Josepha, tourné en 1975 à Paris. Le film documente l'un des premiers salons de beauté pour femmes noires dans la capitale. Il explore des questions d'identité, de féminisme et d'émancipation qui résonnent encore aujourd'hui. Projection publique gratuite. En français sous-titré en anglais.

I felt honoured to have received the visit of MPP member of Ontario Parliament for High Park and Parkdale who came to see my photography exhibition.
We talked about how it is important that art should remain accessible to all.
