Bondi Produce & Specialty Foods | The Offerings

We are wrapping up this Bondi collab with the most ambitious shot of the day and my personal fave!

This in-camera display (final slide for proof) was a real practice in trusting the process and going with the flow. We had a general plan in mind but until we started taking some frames, we had no clue what would work. After plenty of trial & error, the image started to take shape. It was a massive team effort and I am super proud of how this came together! It is a true celebration of all that Bondi has to offer!

I’m delighted to mention that the leading image also won an photo award this year.

Big shoutout to for the studio space, for your beautiful backdrops, for your mad food styling skills and for your hard work and good energy. Last but not least, for the collaboration and always informing me on what produce is in season.

In this set of images, we wanted to keep it simple and focus on the textures and vibrant colours of the fruit & veg that Bondi offers. When you have produce this beautiful, you just need to add a little light and let the food speak for itself.

It was a very serene evening of chill tunes, finding interesting shapes and playing around with light.

Shoutout to for sticking around and helping me with the Mafalde and a few others. And a big shoutout to for the studio space.

I am also thrilled to announce that this series won an award this year! 🎉

1. Romanesco
2. Dragon Fruit
3. Honeycomb
4. Radicchio
5. Blood Orange
6. Chestnut Mushrooms
7. Purple Potato
8. Mafalde Pasta
9. Savoy Cabbage

Bondi Produce & Specialty Foods | Crate Stack

If you live in Southern Ontario, chances are you’ve seen a Bondi truck out on delivery over the years or if you go out to a restaurant in Toronto, the produce the Chef is cooking with, yup, there’s a good chance it came from Bondi.

This family owned and operated business has been one of Ontario’s leading produce wholesalers for decades but it all started with a simple trip to the Ontario Food Terminal 50 years ago. The founder, Ignazio Bondi had recently immigrated to Canada and while trying to find his footing, he decided (with encouragement from his wife) to pack up his truck with some fruit and vegetables and start knocking on the doors of restaurants in Toronto. With no previous experience in produce, just a ton of ambition, he paved the path that has led his family to celebrating 50 years in business this year!

In honour of such an incredible milestone, I partnered up with Bondi to create images that celebrate all of the beautiful and delicious offerings they provide to thousands of businesses.

This photo shoot was particularly special for me as I was able to collaborate with my brilliant wife, Courtney who is the Marketing Manager at Bondi. We have long wanted to work together on a photoshoot, so it was truly magical to combine our skills and ideas for Bondi…

The idea that started it all was the leading image, “The Crate Stack”. These iconic forest green crates are essential to the business, so, it only seemed fitting to showcase them along with the produce it often holds.

The first challenge was getting these crates stacked in a way that was visually interesting and yet stable, so with the help of a few C-stands and wire, we were able to keep the crates in place as the produce weighed it down. That’s when the uber talented came in to style the crates with a bunch of produce. While Courtney and Haley worked away on styling each crate, and I worked on lighting the scene. It took a few hours of hard work and patience, but we got the shot we set out to capture and I’m super proud of everyone who helped bring this to life!

Stay tuned for more!

Wednesday | Crow

Crows are one of the most fascinating birds and here’s a few reason why…

They are highly intelligent birds that have been documented using tools and solving complex puzzles.

They gather around the dead similar to funerals.

They remember human faces and can hold grudges, so whatever you do, don’t p**s off a crow!

Crows can mimic the sounds of other animals and have their own dialect.

—————————

This was Wednesday’s first time on set and I did my absolute best to stay in her good books, I don’t want no crow grudges! We made sure to be gentle with our approach and not be too quick with our movements or too loud to keep her photoshoot experience pleasant. Luckily, she was very calm was super helpful to capture a bunch of angles
It was a dream being in her presence.

Stickers | Red Tailed Hawk

Jordan and I have teamed up once again to create a new set of images for Toronto Animal Wranglers latest additions: The 2026 Roster.

Over the course of two days, we captured 19 dogs, 3 cats, 1 Crow & 1 Red Tailed Hawk.

There is something so magical about being in the presence of a Red Tailed Hawk and Stickers is no exception. This 7 year old male is one of the most beautiful birds I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. His stillness and constant surveilling of his surroundings left me awestruck. While the photographer in me was so excited when he entered the studio, the bird lover really took over and I was more interested in just observing him and learning more about him.

It was such a special moment time with Stickers in front of my camera and I’m so grateful to have these captures to remind me of him years down the road.

P.S. Sorry for the hawk p**p that made it onto one of your backdrops.

Melody, Betty & Gretel | Jack Russell, Poodle & Siberian

Jordan and I have teamed up once again to create a new set of images for Toronto Animal Wranglers latest additions: The 2026 Roster.

Over the course of two days, we captured 19 dogs, 3 cats, 1 Crow & 1 Red Tailed Hawk.

These three beauties are the final dogs & cats (birds to come!) to show off from the 2026 roster shoot and I can’t think of a better way to wrap up than with this set of images.

First off, Melody is an absolute dream dog. This adorable 1.5 year old Jack Russell is one of Jordan’s personal dogs that was meant for the bright lights! She is soooo cute, attentive and athletic. It felt like every photo that came through, there was a chorus of “awwwwww”’s behind me.
Then we have Betty. The grand-daughter of the beautiful Georgette. This was special as It was the first time I’ve photographed multiple generations in the same family (5 years apart).. Sadly, Georgette passed away around the time of this shoot but her presence is forever felt with the likes of Betty. The photos of Betty are some of my faves as it was one of the moments where everything came together. I was getting tired of the brown background and Betty deserved something new, so we grabbed the pink fabric that I scored from Ontario Fashion Textiles on St Clair. Rigged it up with some C-stands, added a spotlight and then we threw in the plinths to add something extra. Betty was so confident standing on those and struck the pose so well that we had the shot within a minute! Thank you .acting.crew for allowing me to capture your beautiful doggos .

Lastly, we have Gretel, the fluffy, whisker covered cutie owned by . This 3 year old Siberian cat was my favorite cat to come through this time around. She was perfect for the brown backdrop as it complimented her endless hues of brown in her fur. She was so calm, focused and simply adorable. Loved every moment with her in front of my lens.

Dori & Vici | Papillon & Rottweiler

Jordan and I have teamed up once again to create a new set of images for Toronto Animal Wranglers latest additions: The 2026 Roster.

Over the course of two days, we captured 19 dogs, 3 cats, 1 Crow & 1 Red Tailed Hawk.

In this colourful and playful post, I wanted to showcase some beautiful doggo’s that contrast one another. First we have Dori, a sweet and adorable Papillon (one of my fave breeds to photograph). I knew I wanted to incorporate bubbles with a dog at some point during this shoot and when Dori showed up, she felt like the perfect fit. She was skeptical about the bubbles at first but after a few rounds of expertly blowing them around (2nd to last slide for their technique🤣) Dori started chomping at them and understanding the assignment. I imagined a playful image but in the end, it was a quiet moment that won the day. The juxtaposition of the bubbles and colourful background with Dori’s contemplative stare at the ground just made my heart sing.
And then we have Vici, a beautiful Rottweiler with a presence that can intimidate and an energy that will immediately make you wanna give him the biggest hug. Outside of the studio, there was this green shipping container, so when we wrapped up Vici’s roster portraits, we bundled up and headed outside for a quick session. Vici was such a joy to photograph as he was so focused and easy to direct his attention. He absolutely overdelivered.

Shoutout to & . I’m grateful I’ve been able to photograph your beautiful doggo’s over the years…

Miley with Stick & family | Golden Retrievers

Jordan and I have teamed up once again to create a new set of images for Toronto Animal Wranglers latest additions: The 2026 Roster.
Over the course of two days, we captured 19 dogs, 3 cats, 1 Crow & 1 Red Tailed Hawk.

—————————

A REAL GOOD dog!! Miley with her stick is the quintessential Golden Retriever moment all in one image! When we proposed this shot to Miley she accepted the assignment and ran with it, I mean, look how happy she is!

I long imagined a photo just like this and it was the perfect moment where everything came together. I asked Jordan to bring a branch from her farm for a bird perch but little did we know that it would be the most beautiful and perfect oversized branch for the “dog with stick” photo. And then came Miley along with her sister Byrde and baby girl Chloe. raised these beautiful pups and knew Miley would be the perfect dog to proudly show off the stick. Within minutes of her on set and placing the stick in her mouth, we had the shot. The pride and joy in her face says it all!!! May we all find the joy a dog gets from having a stick in its mouth.
The group shot came shortly after and we only got about 20 frames before Chloe jumped off the platform and p**ped on the c*c. Hah. Dogs will be dogs.

As always a massive shout out to everyone who helped make this happen!

Yara & Sourdough | Afghan Hound & British Short Hair

Jordan and I have teamed up once again to create a new set of images for Toronto Animal Wranglers latest additions: The 2026 Roster.

Over the course of two days, we captured 19 dogs, 3 cats, 1 Crow & 1 Red Tailed Hawk.

DIVA ALERT!!! Yara and Sourdough pulling off their best super model looks. Set against a beautiful purple canvas backdrop by the wonderful , these two beauties were born to strut their stuff.

I have long been wanting to photograph an Afghan Hound. They are such beautiful dogs with long flowy hair and slender features. Yara is no exception and getting her in front of my lens was such a treat. Yara and Sourdough were the last two animals we photographed. At the end of a long day when we were all running on empty, having Yara step onto set gave me a big boost. I had this vision of her standing confidently with a fan blowing in her hair and while it took some patience to get her on her mark, once she did, she gave us gold! She knows how to handle that Beyoncé wind like a pro!!!

Sourdough may not have long locks of golden hair but he has the sweetest round face and big eyes that immediately make you go “aaaawwwww”. These were the last frames of the entire shoot and I can’t imagine a better way to wrap up the shoot..

As always a massive shout out to everyone who helped make this happen!

Scotia & Pie | Bearded Collie & English Bulldog

Jordan and I have teamed up once again to create a new set of images for Toronto Animal Wranglers latest additions: The 2026 Roster.

Over the course of two days, we captured 19 dogs, 3 cats, 1 Crow & 1 Red Tailed Hawk.

Here we have Scotia, a beautiful 3 year old bearded Collie with a sweet and shy demeanour. Scotia was the first dog we photographed and boy oh boy was she ever a joy to photograph. She didn’t come barrelling in with confidence but after we gave her some space to feel out the studio, her personality really came out.. The leading photo is my absolute favourite tight portrait from this shoot. There is something about her piercing human like eyes staring into the lens, her fur blowing, the moody monochromatic set and the light hitting just right that made me so happy!! We also had some beautiful sunlight streaking through the garage doors in the morning and so we quickly spiked and moved a bunch of gear so we could capture her on the cove. I’m so glad we got to capture that moment and kick started the shoot with her!

Secondly, we have Pie, a rough and tumble 2 year old English Bulldog that was such a contrast from Scotia. With deep rolls and a confident, laissez-faire energy, she epitomized the very essence of a bulldog. She had the classic underbite that oozes personality and her focus was dialled in..

As always, a massive shout out to everyone who helped make this happen!
