My editing desk has been missing something for a while... USB4 and Thunderbolt are the best way to connect high speed accessories to your computer. The problem is my computer only has 2 of those ports. The beauty of a thunderbolt hub like this is that although your still limited to the maximum speed of the one port you're plugging the hub into, you can have multiple accessories plugged in that can each take advantage of that full speed if only one of them is being used at a time.

I'm importing footage to my computer almost every day, so having a proper docking setup for my memory cards feels long overdue. One step closer to creating my perfect editing setup.

Canon just released the R6 V! It uses the same sensor as the C50 and R6 Mark III, with a redesigned body focused on video shooting. With a built-in fan, more custom buttons, and some extras like a power zoom rocker, this is a great option if you were considering an R6 Mark III but are more of a video-focused shooter.

Just areminder from your friendly neighborhood photographer that your car's cabin air filter probably needs to be replaced. Also if you're like me and have seasonal allergies, you can get a HEPA filter that fits your car.

Save this video for the next time you're shooting sunrise! ☀️ This sunrise was super cinematic! But shooting back lit like this means a ton of contrast between the bright sun and the dark foreground. Thankfully these cameras can capture all the detail, you just have to make sure your exposure is correct. Generally it's much easier to pull information out of the shadows compared to the highlights, so I like to under expose a shot like this to make sure the detail in the sky isn't lost, then with editing, we can bring the detail back in the shadows so you get a bit of both📸

The wind did not wanna let me record this😅 But just because the sun has set, doesn't mean you missed your opportunity for photos! The hour immediately following the sunset is called blue hour, and it offers a really soft but vibrant quality of light that looks great for landscapes and portraits.

This new monitor from Asus Proart is an awesome choice for video and photo editors who need color accuracy but don't want to spend thousands on a display. With 4K, 120Hz, and OLED, I might have to pick one of these up.
