I noticed that Photoshop Beta just released v. 25.9 with a bunch of new features. As a big fan of Midjourney, I wanted to test Beta's "Generate Image" option and recorded my results below.
On the left side is Beta's prompt options, and the right side is Midjourney's. Consecutive images are the images themselves, starting with Beta's followed by Midjourney's.
My prompt: "view from a plane looking far down on a 1950's style fishing boat with the dark silhouette of a massive crocodilian creature that is over 300 feet long swimming underneath it, black and white, grainy, vintage style".
Fascinating stuff. Right off the bat, I appreciate how Beta generates images straight onto my canvas, with no need to think of cropping or resizing. Beta's interface is also straightforward enough for me to navigate without any documentation.
The prompts themselves were pretty good in regards to style, look, and realism. The only part I found lacking was the accuracy of my prompt, but it'll get better as time goes on. The Midjourney options offered way more accurate visuals in regards to the crocodilian creature and the boat.
