Adrianna Hyde Photography This is the world through my eyes. I find joy in knowing that pictures speak. Born and raised in Jamaica, I now call the city of Toronto my home.

They tell stories, whether emotional, historical and sometimes they reflect the beauty of stillness. In life, I've seen and experienced some amazing things. Some of which I wish to revisit, but never will in the way I did the first time. Since we cannot make time stand still, I cease the moment through my photography. It's important to capture moments because we can look back, retrace our steps, s

MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE. a photo series.
Part 01 — Nilane

It started with a quiet afternoon, a latte, and a new barista at one of my favourite places… Paper Route Cafe

As I sipped my latte, I sat there wondering who I knew that could fit the vision I had for this beautiful garden space at Cafe23 and the shoot I could already see in my mind.

As I was leaving, the Holy Spirit nudged me: ask her.

I hesitated for a second, but I turned around and asked anyway.

Neither of us quite knew what would come of it, but we went anyway.

The space wasn’t quiet that day. It pushed us both outside of our comfort zones … to let ourselves be seen and, in a world that so often tells us to be small, to take up space.

And that we did.

Somewhere along the way, one location became two, and we found ourselves at another one of my favourite cafés in the area, Botànic Coffee & Caphe

What an honour it was to create with such a wonderful human being. 🌹✨

Sometimes, beautiful things begin with simply being willing to listen.

Lately, I’ve been making space to create simply for the joy of creating again.

This product study challenged me to think beyond the product itself—to use light, colour, texture, and composition to tell a story. It’s reminded me how much I enjoy slowing down, experimenting, and pushing myself creatively.

I’m excited to continue exploring product, food, and beverage photography as I build this next chapter of my work. Here’s to staying curious and seeing where inspiration leads. ✨📸

I’m so grateful that Created to Be Seen now has a home (until it’s sold) on the wall of this lovely café. ✨
