Istvan Kadar Photography

Istvan Kadar Photography Istvan Kadar exhibits a vast array of Travel pictures on his website that evoke the mystery and exotica that those of us who love to travel long for.

My photography focuses on capturing the beauty of landscapes, the details of architectural wonders, my memorable encounters with animals, and the diverse lifestyles of the people I meet during my travels. We're inspired to find such places and luxuriate in their allure and charm. His Animal images possess a realism worthy of the attention which they receive. Architecture ranges from the old to the

ultra modern, Flora and Nature capture the power, beauty and wonder of the natural environments surrounding us and available throughout the world. And he cleverly pairs videos with the perfect musical accompaniment! Born and raised in Sepsiszentgyörgy, Transylvania, Istvan move to Canada at the age of 22. It's not surprising then that his world encompasses everything, anything and everywhere his imagination and sharp eye take him. I've been fortunate to be the recipient of his creative energy in that he has designed five book covers for my latest novel series as well as the covers of two novellas. And I'm not the only author with lavish and exciting images gracing their written work. There are many photographers in the world, some with a great eye for framing, others noted for their selection of subject, those who excel with mood and imaginative shots. With Istvan's highly creative works you get all of this and more, expressed in photographs, videos and graphic design. It's no wonder his work has won awards, including from National Geographic for excellence, and you can find a selection of photos on the Getty image site. In the past, he held the position of Art Director at several notable advertising agencies in both Budapest, Hungary and Toronto, Canada. Now, he focuses solely on his own art, his photographs frequently featured at exhibitions. Beyond all other skills required, a photographer must be passionate about his visual endeavours, and Istvan Kadar is.

🌬️ Hawa Mahal - The Palace of Winds, Jaipur, India

The Palace of the Winds is widely regarded as one of the finest examples of Rajput architecture in India. It is adorned with 953 windows. These were designed to enable the ladies of the royal court to watch street theatre unobserved, hidden behind the delicate latticework. Also known as the Hawa Mahal, the palace was built in 1799 for Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh as part of the women's quarters of the expansive City Palace complex in the heart of Jaipur. The street-facing façade is essentially an enormous screened porch, only one room deep in most places. In 1876, Jaipur was preparing for the visit of the Prince of Wales. To welcome him with warmth and grandeur, Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II ordered the entire city to be painted terracotta pink — a colour symbolizing hospitality and friendliness in Rajput culture — earning Jaipur its nickname of 'The Pink City'.

The Toorji Ka Jhalra was constructed in the 1740s by the queen-consort of Maharaja Abhay Singh, and features detailed sandstone carvings. Notably, the Jodhpur Stepwell had been buried for years and only recently underwent a restoration to return it to its former glory. The primary function of the structure was to provide a reliable water source during the dry seasons. It also served as a communal gathering point and still does.

Legend has it that at the beginning of the Vietnam era, the Vietnamese people faced a fierce invasion from a northern country via the sea. In response, the people prayed for a miracle. Emperor Jade then dispatched a mother dragon and her offspring to help the people repel the invaders. As the ships advanced into Vietnam's waters, the dragons breathed fire upon them. At the same time, they expelled jewels and jade, which transformed into islands and islets in the emerald sea, linking together to create a substantial barrier against external incursions. After defeating the invaders, the dragon fell in love with the tranquil seascape and decided to make its home in the bay. Thus, the spot where the mother dragon descended is now known as Halong Bay. The name 'Halong' comes from the notion that the dragon descended into the bay.

Bagan is famous for its sunrises, which cast light against thousands of ancient temples and pagodas and they are even more incredible from the soaring heights of a hot air balloon. Lost cities abound in Myanmar, but none approach the splendour of Bagan. During the kingdom's height between the 11th and 13th centuries, 4,446 Buddhist temples, pagodas, shrines, stupas and monasteries were constructed in the Bagan plains alone, of which the remains of 3,822 temples and pagodas still survive to the present day.

It's considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world, and you'll understand why if you spend a few days here. Local legend suggests that the bay was formed when a dragon arrived to thwart Chinese invaders, spitting out jade stones and pearls that eventually became the islands. The name "Ha Long" translates to "descending dragon," which is how it got its name. The area has been shaped by mountains forming over tens of millions of years, by rising and falling sea levels, and by moving tectonic plates, which is quite incredible when you think about it. The seascape consists of about 2000 limestone karsts of all sizes, shapes, and shades of green, rising dramatically from the ocean. It's a unique site on Earth, and regardless of the weather, a cruise on Halong Bay is always a fantastic experience.
