Our flag represents our country and our history to the world.
Small flaws in the flag don’t go unnoticed.

The Lion & Sun sits centered in the white band, with space from the borders.
It should not touch the red.

These colors are not random.
Darker green and deep red are the original, not a new choice.

Personal designs on Wikipedia can’t define a national flag.
Anyone can edit Wikipedia, focus on what is correct.

In 1979, Islamists and Marxist groups united in Iran. They spoke the language everyone wanted to hear: fighting imperialism, fighting fascism, justice for religion, equality, and a better future under Islam and Marxism. “Free this, free that.” Many believed them and helped bring them to power.

But once they took control, the mask fell. Freedom disappeared. Repression replaced hope, and an ancient nation was thrown into decades of darkness.

For 47 years, Iranians have been trying to take their country back.

What happened to Iran in 1979 is telling; when millions effectively become trapped under an ideology that inherently does not believe in freedom, the price of obtaining freedom again is steep. Today, similar patterns are becoming visible again.
