My attempts at a gift for my youngest niece. I kind of like the black and white, but I’m going to paint it with some colours she loves - so this is essentially the Before. Depending how the After turns out, it may be posted or it may not. ;) The toughest part of the lockdown has certainly been the separation from those two wonderful girls, who call me Auntie Cee. Anticipating the hugs.

Don’t worry - this is not recent, people. 😏 But meditation in a time of crisis is certainly good for the mental health. And who hasn’t heard of 8D music?! Whoa! This is like being centre stage with the band. And if you search 8D nature sounds it’s about as close to being in the middle of a field as this sorry-assed, self-isolating-in-downtown-Toronto-girl is gonna get for the foreseeable future.

Just cause palm oil won’t corrode your arteries as fast as butter, doesn’t make it a better choice.

The photo above is from the Anthropocene exhibit at the AGO a while ago - one of the most informative and TERRIFYING testaments to the detrimental effect of humans on our planet 🌍.

Deforestation/displacement of indigenous people and wildlife > oil palm plantations > palm oil is harvested > ingredient in food, fuel, and cosmetics. So watch what you put in your mouth, your car and on your face. @ AGO - Art Gallery of Ontario
