I AM FULL OF HOLES is a collaboration between Luis Jacob and Rio Jacob, Luis’ 12-year old nephew.

The story is narrated from today’s perspective, understood as being a time of chaos marked by genocide internationally, and locally by attacks on artists and curators.

“I AM FULL OF HOLES” describes my arrival to Toronto from Lima, Peru as a 10-year old child. It progresses by narrating my experiences in various communities—queer activism in the 1980s, artist-run culture in the 1990s, the anarchist community in the early 2000s — leading to the present day.
Along the way, “I AM FULL OF HOLES” describes the ways in which community knowledge engenders a growing sense of collective ethics and artistic responsibility. It is designed to be accessible to a wide audience, and is co-created as a dialogue across generations. It is a labour of love.” -Luis Jacob

I AM FULL OF HOLES takes the form of a graphic novel, published chapter by chapter once a month, starting in May 2024. It will be distributed free of charge at various galleries and artist-run centres in Toronto.
