Took my rascal on a roadtrip to get away for a bit. We needed an adventure and I needed to go on a “photo mission” for fun again. First pic is a new favourite- reflection on the river.

Once a restless, unanchored nomad, I roamed the world, chasing horizons and cultures, never quite finding home and afraid to stay put. Ontario didn’t fit, and BC wasn’t the plan—yet life surprised me. Big changes slowed me down, and I found my place on this island, surrounded by supportive friends and my mischievous dog. I’m building a business now and pouring my heart into a new chapter. My partner who feels like home in human form, grounds me. And while my wanderlust is stirring and I’m ready to cross off some more bucket list items again, for now, I’ll keep exploring new corners of my beautiful island, soaking in daily joys and endless ocean views.

To anyone waiting for a sign: take the leap and don’t look back! It’s been a long and hard road but I’m so much happier now. I used to say I was “lost in the right direction” and now I feel that “I am found”. I am still insatiably curious and will always romanticize being on the road, but I do longer have a fear of setting roots and having a home base… in fact I look forward to coming home now.

[07.2025] july • just livin in bikinis and going all in on my recipes this past month … forever doing a little dance with staying fit and enjoying all my favourite indulgences… when it’s home cooked it’s basically fair game and anything goes, the calories don’t count - girl math. basically, food always wins, but lucky i love my workouts too.

(bonus last one: “memory photo” of the meal that burnt my face, but was so tasty I started eating because I got a nice picture)

This photo captures me and Ollie in Utah’s wild “Mordor” last summer, but this summer, I’m staying in my own backyard on Vancouver Island, diving into camping and getting back to basics.

After juggling 5 jobs and navigating the chaos of building businesses, closing chapters, and starting anew, I need to clear my head and quiet the noise. This island’s rugged beauty feels like home—a healing haven where I can reconnect with myself. I’m thrilled to explore new spots, places I have had pinned on my map for years, pitch a tent under the stars, and get back to shooting, capturing raw moments that spark joy.

This past year has been intense—brain-frying, thrilling, and at times overwhelming. Change used to ignite me, but when the things that defined me shifted, it forced me to dig deep, rediscover my passions, and rebuild my confidence. I’m finally finding my stride, and there’s something electric about that. Can’t wait to lose myself in the island’s wild heart and see where this adventure leads then come back to seeing my mum who is visiting from Ontario and then my much anticipated event either Sweat & Social. It’s a crazy busy month but I am so grateful for the fun plans!
