It was a pleasure working with female fitness boss woman Tosca Reno yestersay creating content for her business. Here’s an unedited image form our shoot!

Yesterday marked a notable day for me.

It was not just a photo shoot, something that needs to be done to capture current images for business B U T a day marking a tremendous shedding of layers. My past.

I understand that the past makes me who I am today. It’s life, delivered for me, not to me. Yet it was time for me to shake off the dross.

Standing in front of the camera lens yesterday was also about welcoming my new self. She is my Future Self who is not afraid to raise the bar on herself. She is at this moment, in this photo, walking towards her best self.

This photo captures that moment when I saw her.

I saw the woman I am now. The woman I feel bubbling through me, out into the world. The woman I am and am becoming.

She is beautiful.

To feel beautiful again after the dark chapters of recent years brought tears to my eyes. Joy to my heart.

The struggles have been so darkly challenging I wanted to give up often. The work of metamorphosis taxed me daily. It was messy and gruelling. Exhaustion made me feel ragged and without light.

But like the butterfly that must go through the “goop” stage until she is ready to emerge from her chrysalis, there is no turning back.

Thank you to you, my sisters, who have given me space and borne witness to my evolution.

Thank you to Carly and Michelle who have stood with me as strong women in their own right, helping to bring my new vision to the world.

Thank you to Valeria Nova who did my hair, makeup and styling. We too have a past over which we have shed tears - both happy and sad. There is no one better.

Thank you to Dave Laus who saw with his eye and creates art with his lens. Your spirit of welcome helped shape these beautiful images.

Thank you to my mentors great and small who have shown me the way. There are many. Because I read The Beauty of Living Twice by Sharon Stone, I know I can triumph too.

For this I am blessed and filled with light. I feel beautiful once again.

They are looking for a lingerie model with experience, who are comfortable shooting in (tasteful) lingerie clothing.

he best time to do a photoshoot?

I get asked this ALOT.

The truth is, there is no formula to this question. You should book photoshoots around your own goals. 💪🏼 If your goal is to get into a fitness magazine, then doing a photoshoot up to two weeks before, to two weeks after (and everything in between) a fitness competition is a good idea, depending on how hard or soft you want to look.

👙 If you’re looking to submit your photos to a sexier magazine, then anytime is good as long as YOU feel good.

🤓 If you’re looking for photos for your business, social media or future content building, you can shoot, and should shoot often to keep your content fresh. Even if you do more frequent, but shorter shoots, it will keep you well stocked with something always available to use.

🥰 If you’re looking to document progress, or just feel better about yourself, book a shoot as a goal at anytime and work towards it. Shoot because it’s fun, makes you feel good and as a reward for your efforts at work or at the gym.

Speaking of shoots, came into this shoot 7 months postpartum after baby number 2!

Some to get you through the week!

This was my first time meeting and working with . I already had much respect for this woman, she was an incredible athlete, fit, beautiful and a badass. She was an amazing person to work with and such a genuine and humble woman, despite being such a badass.

I left my career as a cop of 15 years to pursue my passion for photography. Meeting and working with great people like Christmas assures me I did the right thing and reminds me how much I love my job.

Well, this Father's Day is a tough one.
It's the first one without my father, although I know he watching us from above in peace now.

On the flip side, I am so blessed 🙏🏼. I have 4 beautiful and strong boys and as long as I have breath, I will always do what I can to keep them safe and raise them to be good, respectable men.

Having children is not the same as raising them. Cheers to those that have rose up to the challenge of raising their children. That also goes to the women and men out their doing double roles too.

Being a father isn't the easiest role in the world, but is the BEST and most rewarding job that I have ever signed up for. I am the richest man in the world without money 💕

The second photo is one of the last photos with my father before his dementia and health turned for the worst. It was his first and only visit to my studio and our gym .

Lastly, if it offends you that I'm holding a beer while spending time with my kids, that's just sad. My father drank a beer or two around me growing up and it has never influenced me in anyway to become an alcoholic. 🍺
