Thank you to the moms who came to us for their photos to be taken. We hope you enjoyed them and had a beautiful day.

Unfortunately, around 10 of the 30 booked sessions didn't show up or were cancelled at the last minute. This prevented people who really wanted to come from booking a spot, and it wasted our time; we were at the mall sitting doing nothing.

We will implement a no-show policy to prevent this from happening again.

Meet Mortimer. Mortimer is a 30-year-old snapping turtle who was illegally captured as a hatchling and kept in captivity. He never learned the survival skills needed in the wild and has become accustomed to human care, so he cannot be safely released back into the wild.

He now serves in an important role as a Teaching Turtle, helping to educate about his species, the importance of conservation, the impact humans have on native wildlife, and how we can better protect turtles here in Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry counties.
