Happy 2026!

Having recently marked the 6th Anniversary of Soulfire photoshoots in my East Van studio (some of you will remember the “studio” in my condo / back alley prior to that!), I am filled with appreciation for the beautiful souls who have trusted me to capture them on camera, since the beginning.

As Soulfire clients celebrate website and podcast launches, album and book releases, deepening their craft, and career pivots, it’s an honour to be part of their journey. As always, please feel free to drop me a line and share what’s lighting you up these days, or just to say hello.

Whether we’ve had a recent photoshoot together, it’s been a few years, or we’re just connected here online, I wish you a 2026 filled with joy, creativity, and headshots / personal branding images you genuinely love.

I didn’t get my first acting headshots done until my 20s, so I’m always amazed when young performers like Ellie come in and nail their very first headshot photoshoot. Ellie, you’re a star ❤️

Some of my favourite images from last year’s Squamish Nation Youth Powwow ❤️

It’s an honour to photograph the beauty of the Powwow, led by my dear friends Carmen Moore and Simon Baker.

If you haven’t been to a powwow, I can’t recommend it enough. The incredible culture, community, dancing, drum circles, regalia, and food of the 3rd Annual Squamish Nation Youth Powwow will be in full force THIS WEEKEND. Everyone is welcome. See you there!

I love photographing actors - not just because I am one, but because it’s fun to build windows visually into different worlds - a softer, approachable Hallmark look, a bold professional vibe, or something with a hint of mystery.

When I look at Karrie Drake’s headshots, I see so many possibilities… though my top pick for her is a Downton Abbey sequel or a gritty English drama 😉 You’ve got range, presence, and such a grounded strength, Karrie. Thank you for inviting me into your creative journey - I can’t wait to see where it takes you ❤️
