This is a wonderful take on the Total Solar Eclipse that is about to happen tomorrow. John Marchesella is a Master Astrologer with a very significant practical view of the cycles of time and how they play out in real-time for us meagre humans on this planet.
We have Eclipses twice sometimes more, per year so it is nothing new. Sometimes it's a Total Lunar or Solar Eclipse and sometimes a partial one. Either way, it is a natural phenomenon and should be honoured, just as the seasons change, as does birth and death. As above, so below and so on.
Enjoy, as this is John's wonderful wisdom shining through the darkness as always.

THE SOLAR ECLIPSE
Sorry to Be a Party Pooper, but…
Ancients did not go out and revel under the solar eclipses. There were no overpriced hotel rooms, eclipse parties, television specials and planes to ride along the path of the eclipse.
Instead, the ancients knew to follow the way of Mother Nature. If the Mother Nature makes things dark during a solar eclipse, then best to find creative and productive ways to follow Her into the dark. Go meditate. Go honor the dead. Go sleep and commune with the spirits of dreams.
And not to be a total wet blanket about this, the other thing we can do in the dark is set an intention for some vision for the future. That’s akin to planting a seed to take root in the dark under the ground, and perhaps we’ll see some signs of growth in three months. Three months is the time is takes Mother Nature to change seasons when spring turns to summer.
True, some ancient peoples took to banging their pots and pans to scare away the dragon that was eating the Sun. Or they made offerings to the Moon to burp back the Sun to them. Or they revered the expression, “The King is dead! Long live the King!”
Hopefully, all those contemporary people who will be celebrating under the path of totality or on their urban rooftops or in country fields will be silenced by the awe of the sight of the eclipse, and for a moment, there will be peace and quiet.
Nah, probably not.
Solar eclipses are compelling astronomical events that connect us to the Sun and the Moon in powerful ways. Annular or total solar eclipses, and even partial...
