I was walking through a park on the island here and it was slowly getting dark so I started trekking back to my car to go back to the hotel while on a work trip. As I was walking back, I spotted this young deer. Slowly changed out my lens and just sat down and waited to see if she’d come down my way. I lucked out and snapped her big curious ears looking at me as she walked up. (Zoom lens; I don’t promote encouraging wildlife to approach, respect their boundaries)

Sometimes in life you gotta try to just try. I went out of my way to make a visit happen for my old roommate, despite wanting to have things go a different way I checked my priorities and found a way to make things line up so everyone could win. We left late, later than I usually ever drive and stopped to wake up. I decided to take my camera out for some night photos of the sky. As we were parked in this little pull out a police officer went by and shined his light at my car to figure out what I was doing (had my camera on a tripod on the front at 1-2am. Probably looked weird). Made for a cool effect of a blue pop in my light streaks. So here’s to making things work and finding yourself in the middle of nowhere making the best of a circumstance and enjoying the view. Life may not always be easy, but try to enjoy the small things around you while in these moments.

I took this photo while walking through a park searching for a client to do a photo shoot. The day started off chilly and I was wearing too many layers. I was melting as the sun was beating down on me. I couldn’t help but stop and see this couple who were rowing across the lake and this guy was singing loudly as if he was in Italy. They were giggling away and it was carrying across the water. Their love was a beautiful moment to be able to share as a bystander.

I keep dreaming of summer time and camping 🥰😍

The sun was just setting and casted this warm glow that was inviting. I remember Buck running around playing on the beach smelling everything since it was so quiet and remote. Harrison lake can be such a beautiful spot to visit. I look forward to finding gems like this in the island (photo from 2018).

I remember this day. It was a great friend trip. I’m honestly so thankful to have such good friends. From worlds apart, the commonality of wanting someone good in your life can bring the most unique people into your life. A tree climb and fort perch lunch with a great photo to remember. 🥰
