In 2013, Darren Pederson was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer and underwent a life saving operation at St. Paul's Hospital. Dr. Manoj Raval, a colon cancer specialist performed two life saving operations to rebuild Darren's intestines. Following the surgery Darren and Dr. Raval found that they shared the same passion for supercars! They eventually teamed up for the Diamond Rally, a super car charity challenge to raise awareness and funds for the Colorectal Cancer Clinic at St. Paul's. Come see them again at the Diamond Rally this Saturday, May 6th, at Brian Jessel BMW in Burnaby, BC!

Shawna's stylist and celebrity accountant Vernz Amor was kind enough to emcee the event. She even auctioned off a date with Shawna! (and it was really expensive!) With the recent explosion of craft breweries in British Columbia, Port Moody's Brewery Row has definitely risen to the top! It is home to Twin Sails Brewing, Yellow Dog Brewing and Moody Ales. The most recent addition and the crown jewel (!) of Brewery Row is the Parkside Brewery! It has been packed since the day it opened and has no signs of slowing down!

This is where North Shore Rescue comes in! Led by a team of search and rescue specialists, they save the lives of people who get lost in the North Shore backcountry every year. They are a %100 non-profit group and every penny they raise helps to save lives! Now in it's 3rd year, is their premier event and played host to food trucks, live music and cold beer from Deep Cove Brewers + Distillers! To everyone that came out, thank for for your support and see you next year!
