PART 3
Growing up, I always wanted to learn more about my ethnic culture. I wasn’t surrounded by many people who looked like me as a kid. I was one of the only ethnically Chinese students in my school.
It was a weird in-between. I was Asian but also not very Asian… but I loved learning about Asian cultures. I loved exposing myself to Asian music, learning about the history of Asian culture and the Asian world, and I loved learning Mandarin and Cantonese.
