Here, you can see an elderly couple, walking along a pathway. These are rice paddie fields and they honestly went cor miles. Not sure how many farmers work but amazing to see how detailed their work is in such a huge scale. Indonesians work very hard and were extremely friendly while I was there. My guide kept saying they're known as the happiest people in the world. I enjoyed experiencing a different culture from thw west that was more laid back and to be honest, less consumer driven. People did not really talk about materialistic things and you can see how they value family ties.
Still felt like such a surreal feeling, solo-traveling through Lombok, Indonesia. Had the opportunity to explore and experience the Indonesian culture thanks to , who also set up my itinerary.
Even though I basically only spent a week in Lombok, was grateful to experience lots of stuff. Also wanted to recognize .irshad for connecting me with her. Hopefully I get the opportunity to travel more and take more pictures like this! Going to be working on some more edits and hopefully a vlog that won't be as cinematic but more of behind the scenes of my trip.
