This is a photograph of the famous 150 year old pier at Alappuzha beach taken in 2011. I remember the skies were bleeding red and perfect time to capture the moment. This is not a retouched image. I got this shot with the help of Nd grads and some basic camera tricks.

It’s been a long time since I have been wanting to cover the essence of kottayam my hometown but I wasn’t sure of what I wanted to begin with. I wanted to concentrate on the most forgotten topics that our people tend to skim away most often. As a local resident, I thought to start within the proximity of my own house. Meet mr. Krishna a hardworking and trustworthy individual from Nepal, who has been working in Kerala for more than 8 years now, away from his family. There are many individuals like him who is away from their native and have come here to toil and make a living for their families. Today, I would like to thank all such individuals who are contributing to the lifestyle of Kerala and tell them that they are one of the strongest workforces that Kerala has seen so far and their contributions have not gone unnoticed. Some remain family to some. This is Krishna basking in the hot sun in mid afternoon

A Buddhist monk on foot trying to get to the closest town, I am guessing Leh. There are many tiny villages and temples situated across the zanskar river valley. It takes days for them to get to the nearest town for their needs. This route popularly known for the chadar trek, is the main route to get to town during winters as roads are shut due to heavy snow and landslides. Well, there are no roads at all to some of the places there. It was a memorable experience having to walk along this route. Here temp can hit up to -30 degrees at night.I had my eyes on the never ending mountains and ice caps that covered both the sides. Truly a breathtaking experience walking on the frozen river. Although, this person was waking in a hurry, he was kind enough to stop and let me take a picture of him. #2018

A Buddhist monk traveling on foot across the zanskar river so that he can get a ride to the closest town I am guessing Leh. There are tiny villages and Buddhist temples situated across the Zanskar river, and this is their main route during winters to get to the closest town for their needs. It can take days for them to reach their respective destinations as road are shut. Well, to some places there are no roads at all. It was breathtaking to have been able to experience one of the most beautiful and challenging treks in India. I kept gazing at huge mountains that appeared at both my sides. He was kind enough to stop and pose for me #2018
