Another stunning we had the pleasure of shooting for the very talented cutter from I love how the colours are so harmonious on the lighter grey background. I think that will be a good combo to note for future shoots.
Photographing opal is a challenge for any photographer but once you know how these gems work, best light, best set up and supports, it’s a joy to watch them come alive under the camera. Message us if you need help photographing your opals or iridescent stones.

Finally finished the photos and delivered a very special Legacy ring for a woman with a heart of gold. We’ve know this client for many years, photographing her kids since they were very little. What an honour when she asked if I would design a ring that symbolizes her growing family, woven with elements to represent each one. Of course I said yes!!
We began with the sketches and visuals as we discussed her vision and then refined down to a few unique designs. But then we hit “the one”, she knew, I knew, this was it, we nailed it!! Next was the diamond selection. There’s no comparison to trying things on in person so off to the diamond dealer we went. We had also explored various tourmalines and spinel but nothing had the life like the final gem she chose.
Next was taking the design to our very dear friends at to bring it all to life, which they did down to the last detail! It came out so perfect, I was beyond myself getting to hold what was once a drawing, in my hands. Nothing like it! Needless to say, her new owner was absolutely ecstatic and it fills me with so much joy to see her so happy with her new ring. But even more that she now carries a reminder of her precious family every day. ❤️ Thank you Elayne for trusting me to create this wonderful ring for you. ❤️
