You don’t have to want to be in photos. You just have to remember that one day you’ll wish you had been. That’s what we’re doing here...

Here's 5 things to wrap your head around:

1. Choose comfort first. If you’re tugging at your shirt, you won’t relax.

2. Let your kids bring something they love. A stuffy, a stick, a half-eaten apple. It’s part of the story.

3. Plan for movement. We’ll walk, spin, lay on the ground. It’s not formal, it’s a hangout.

4. Expect chaos. It’s not a flaw, it’s a feature ;)

5. Be proud you booked it. That was the hard part!

Sometimes (often) the kids show up and do whatever the hell they want.

They run off, climb stuff, eat sticks. They refuse shoes. They look directly into the camera… once, maybe.

Zero interest in “cooperating.” That’s fine. We’re not here for perfect. We’re here for proof they were like this once.

Guess what! …You don’t need a meadow at golden hour. Your backyard is totally fine. The grass is probably patchy, someone likely left a water gun out, and the dog might photobomb… That’s kinda the charm.
