We’re lucky to have some of the most amazing backcountry trails in the world here in British Columbia!

These 8 are just some of my favourites. The scenery is breathtaking and the stargazing is unbelievable, always worth the effort!

Be sure to catch sunrise at Floe Lake, hike Nub Peak for sunset at Assiniboine, stay up to see milky-way at Semaphore Lakes.

Remember to leave these places better than you found them, practice good trail etiquette and respect wildlife! 🌲

Switzerland might be one of the most photogenic places in the world. These 8 spots are some of my favourites, some of them you’ve probably heard of before and some you’ve got to work a little to get to.

Blausee in the morning to beat the crowds. The colour of Oeschinensee on a sunny day. Stargazing in Saas Fee. Eating your body weight in cheese in Gstaad. Riding the Bernina Line to Alp Grum. Do it all!

Another year older and another new country that reminds me how beautiful the world is 🇻🇳

I’ve spent the past ten days travelling around northern Vietnam, getting lost in the streets of Hanoi and rice paddies of Ninh Binh. It brought back a feeling that I’ve been chasing again for a while.

35 years of lessons, learned both at home and on my travels, these ones stick with me the most: Chase your dreams relentlessly. Book the trip. Regret is heavy, don’t hold on to it. Growth should scare you a little. Be kind to everyone and listen more.

I was lucky enough to live in Banff for 7 years. I think it’s one of the best places on this planet and it still calls me back a few times each year. When anyone asks for recommendations for their first visit, this is the non-negotiable list I give them to start.

Save it. Use it. And go 🏔️

There are places on this earth that don’t feel real until you’re standing in them. Landscapes that make you question everything you thought you knew about beauty. I’ve been chasing those places for nearly two decades. There are the ones that stayed with me the longest.

I’ve chased a feeling across dozens of mountain ranges, from the Rockies to the Himalayas and down to the peaks of Patagonia. Feeling small. Dwarfed by beautiful ridge lines and towering summits. Overwhelmed by beauty, so much so that it’s beyond our capacity to understand it entirely.

Japan always calls me back and this time, I answered with a full week in Kyoto. No rushing, no hopping around… just time to soak in the beauty of this area. It was exactly what I needed. Made even easier with ’s nonstop flight from Vancouver to Osaka! Air Canada has seasonal flights to Osaka from Vancouver, as well as daily year-round flights to Tokyo from Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto!
