Share your legacy with generations to come Im a Vancouver based professional creative artist with over 16 years under my belt. From portraiture to commercial photography and videography. It’s always been a passion of mine to connect with people whether it’s by connecting in conversation throughout the day of an 8+ hour shoot, or chatting with strangers at bus stops. I’m never disappointed when str

iking up conversations with all walks of life. I have travelled the world extensively for both work and pleasure. Both have offered incredible richness in culture and life experiences. Recently I’ve switched gears a little, slowing down in some ways while raising my two sons, Gunnar and Oscar. And speeding up in other ways, while I try to keep up with them and attempting to catch a few zzz’s along the way.

Sharing birth stories allows us to process, connect, and celebrate. It creates space to honour the rawness, power, complexity, and beauty of birth — not only as the arrival of a baby, but as a profound transformation worthy of being witnessed and celebrated in community.

It creates space to celebrate what was accomplished.
- Birth is an extraordinary rite of passage, yet many parents move through it without their experience being fully acknowledged or honoured

It reduces isolation
- So many parents carry parts of their birth experience quietly — disappointment, grief, pride, fear, joy, confusion, empowerment. Hearing “me too” can be deeply grounding

It validates the full spectrum of birth.
- Birth isn’t only “beautiful” or only “traumatic.” It can be powerful, messy, complicated, healing, disappointing, ecstatic, and tender all at once. Story-sharing makes space for that nuance.
For people whose births felt medicalized, rushed, frightening, or out of their control, being witnessed while telling their story can help restore a sense of ownership over their experience.

It marks a profound transformation.
- Birth is not only the arrival of a baby; it is the birth of a mother, a parent, a new family. Celebration helps honour that transition.

It recognizes the power and resilience of the birthing person.
- Sharing allows others to witness not just what happened, but the courage, surrender, endurance, and love it took to move through it.

It restores ceremony to an experience that is often rushed past.
- In modern life, there’s often little intentional space to pause and say: this was monumental.

Come gather with us to honour, celebrate, and witness the profound stories of birth in the company of women.

Ariel and I are hosting another gathering! Just after Mother’s Day! We don’t want the celebration to end. Mother’s Day should be everyday :)
You can find the registration link in my bio💜

What to expect
We’ll move through the afternoon intentionally:
• 🌿 Arrival + grounding led by .embodied
• 🗣️ A deeply personal birth story shared by a mother
• 💬 Open, guided conversation (listen or share—your choice)
•🚶‍♀️ A gentle somatic walk in nature to integrate and reconnect led by Jody Lightfoot from Lightfooted Pathways Counselling
• 🍵 Closing circle with tea, snacks, and reflection

We’re not meant to navigate big experiences like birth alone.
There’s something powerful about being in a space where stories are shared honestly, bodies can soften, and connection happens naturally.

It was my birthday!! November 6th. But more importantly, 44 years ago, my mom, a freshly turned 20 year old, went into labour in small town McLennan, AB. It was a cold Friday afternoon. There was a light dusting of snow on the ground and she was getting ready for winter…. Chopping wood. As you do when you’re 40 weeks pregnant. To know my mom or my grandparents is to know, that this strength and determination isn’t really surprising.
Labour started around 4 in the afternoon, just as it was starting to get dark.
After being induced, some laughing gas of which she barfed into the mask, and no epidural, 7 hours later, baby me was born!
Ive always appreciated my mom. (Ok maybe there was a lapse in appreciation in my teenage years.. eeeps sorry mom :(
But I snapped out of that pretty quick. And as a mother of two young boys (5 and 2.5 years old) I feel an immense sense of gratitude and admiration for her and all she did and continues to do for me. There are so many points in my life where things could have ended up very different for me. With my mom always being my biggest cheer leader, I feel like I took a lot of “right” turns.
I have a lot to be grateful for on this 44th birthday, but I would be remiss if I didn’t start from the very beginning. The only reason Im here.
So thank you, Mom! And Happy birthing day to you too :)

Most people don’t realize..

how fast time is truly moving….

How fleeting time is…

How quickly our children are growing.

How quickly we move from one moment to the next without locking away these special moments. ..

The time is now.

If not now, then when?

Let me help you pause this moment in time. To capture your story in your voice and your children’s voice.

If just for a moment, we can slow down time.

Thank you to for welcoming me into your home to capture these moments of your sweet little family.
