Simmrin and John’s wedding day at Brock House Events was such a joy to be part of on the Labour Day Weekend! These two first connected in 2020 through a dating app, meeting up with friends at a bar before going on their first official date a week later—an evening they both still remember as being filled with so much laughter!

With John’s family and friends traveling up from the U.S. and Sim’s loved ones close by in Surrey, their wedding was a beautiful celebration of two families coming together. The weather could not have been more perfect for their oceanside ceremony and reception. Before the day unfolded, we met at Pacific Spirit Park for their first look and portraits, surrounded by their bridal party and the most incredible forest backdrop. (My fave.)

Erica & Ron’s maternity session at Pacific Spirit Park was such a fun afternoon! These two first met while working as economics research assistants in New York, and later realized Ron had actually interviewed Erica over the phone months earlier!

I loved reading what they adore about each other: Erica talked about Ron’s sense of humour, his hugs, and his deep care for friends and family. Ron mentioned her protectiveness, how she laughs at his bad jokes, and my favourite: a direct quote: “how much she loves really really big trees.” Haha! Safe to say, the forest was the perfect spot to capture their maternity photos!

"We went on a trip to Vancouver from San Diego. A few days before our trip I found Jamie online and she was so accommodating with my last minute booking. She provided great location suggestions. We were a little late to our session and she was flexible and understanding.

The session went very well- my husband and daughter are NOT into having their photos taken, but Jamie kept the session fun and light so they enjoyed themselves. We just received the gallery of images and they are gorgeous! She captured the perfect ratio of candid to posed smiley images, with more candids, giving the session a more natural feel. I highly recommend Jamie as a family portrait photographer." —Heidi

Juliana & Keith’s family session at Queen Elizabeth Park was so special for me! I photographed their wedding many years and it was great to see them again—this time with son! Their family grew up in the Lower Mainland and loves spending time together at the beach, skating, swimming, or going out for a meal. "In 2013, we hired Jamie Delaine as our wedding photographer, and she completely exceeded our expectations. During our wedding reception, I remember thinking, 'Where is Jamie?' She was present the entire time but blended in so seamlessly that I didn’t even notice her. That was a peak of professionalism—ninja style!

Rhaissa and Spencer’s wedding at Stanley Park Teahouse was such a joy to photograph! Rhaissa got ready at their beautiful apartment overlooking the city, with her mom and a couple friends (and we can’t forget their cat, haha!). For an April wedding, we got super lucky with the weather—it was sunny and warm, with the perfect amount of cloud later in the evening for photos across the street from the venue!

The forest First Look and portraits were a highlight! Although I’ve photographed at the Teahouse many times before, this was my first time photographing a ceremony on the covered patio (I believe they only offer this option on non-Summer dates!) Rhaissa & Spencer’s reception had such a relaxed, intimate vibe, and the whole day felt warm and welcoming! I loved being part of it!

The O. Family was visiting Vancouver from Arizona for a family vacation and I’m so honoured they decided to hire me during their time here! They wanted a really West Coast feel to their portraits, so obviously we went with Pacific Spirit Park, one of my favourite spots in Vancouver.

The O. Family all lives close to one another back home in Phoenix and loves spending time together, whether that’s traveling or gathering around good food. It was great to capture a little piece of their trip to Vancouver this month! I loved it!
