It’s been one hell of a journey…
After months of dreaming, planning, writing, rewriting, auditioning, Zoom meetings, storyboarding, casting, recasting, problem-solving, late-night runarounds, unexpected obstacles, and more than a few moments where I wondered if we’d actually make it here…
We finally did.
Tonight, we officially wrap Principal Photography on our 3rd, and by far our most ambitious short film project to date:
THE PHANTOM TRIGGER
There are moments during the making of a film when u realize it has become something bigger than what u originally imagined.
This is one of those moments.
And honestly, none of this would exist without the incredible people who stood beside me and believed in this lil project.
To my cast, I wanna say “THANK U.”
Thank u for trusting these characters, embracing the material, stepping into this bizarre world I created, and giving urselves completely to it. U brought these characters to life in ways I could have only hoped for when I first put them on the page.
To my crew, for every setup, every light, every take, every adjustment, every late night, every problem solved, every laugh, every exhausted moment, and every time u showed up ready to make something special…
U gave this project ur time, ur talent, ur energy, and ur passion.
And I will never take that for granted.
I genuinely feel incredibly lucky to have had such a wonderful group of kool cats come together for this film. U all brought something extraordinary both in front of and behind the camera, and I hope u know just how much that means to me.
I appreciate u all so very very much.
And now that filming is finally out of the way, we move on to the next fun part: Editing.
Buuuuuut… I think I’mma give my brain a wee bit of a break before jumping into that. 😅
Maybe even sleep in a little….
Maybe. Lol!
I genuinely can’t wait to show u all what we’ve accomplished with this one. It’s a work of art that I’m already incredibly proud of, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with u folks.
