A small, summer-formal wedding at The Teahouse in Stanley Park, with the garden creeping right up to those glasshouse windows and BC doing what BC does best.

Cocktails in hand, dinner with a view, and G & S taking a quiet walk down to the water as the sun disappeared.

So many of their guests had travelled from far away to be here, which made the whole evening feel even more special.

What a perfect Vancouver summer’s celebration!

Furry Creek was entirely theirs for the day. White flowers everywhere. Mountains in every direction. Friends and family spilling through the property. And then, somehow, an entire 118 person dinner was built on the 14th hole - tables, lighting, catering, all the power - right beside the water!

But for all the moving parts, the real story was Jenna and Ruslan - their authentic love and the people who clearly mean the world to them.

What a day to witness and capture. We are the lucky ones!

There’s a nostalgia to film that we have always loved.

I still remember the anticipation of picking up photos with my dad when I was a kid — not knowing exactly what had been captured. The surprise of seeing the images for the first time, noticing the little moments, and how a photograph could instantly take you back to where you were.

I think that’s part of what keeps drawing us to film at weddings. There’s something about not seeing the image immediately. The waiting, the anticipation, and then getting to discover the moments later, often in a way you didn’t expect.

The umbrellas came out, heels got muddy, and everyone gathered with joy. Funny how the thing that looked like it might derail the day ended up giving it so much character.

The weather wrote the first chapter. The rest of the story was told over cocktails and live music, beneath candlelight and layered florals, in a room that somehow managed to feel both grand and intimate.
