So-Fi Stadium Los Angeles photographed for HKS Architects. Home of Superbowl 2022. Here’s a selection of images shot at the Rams vs Chargers game that kicked off the stadium. This shoot was a perfect blend of pure architectural photography and raw sports photojournalism. It is a special thrill to capture a truly great sports venue on game day. I love to feed off the energy from the fans and players! I was also interested in capturing the contrast between the futuristic stadium architecture and the city of Inglewood... So-Fi Stadium is the new venue for the LA Rams. An incredible stadium that I photographed on a frenzied day during the first game Rams vs Chargers last August. A shoot like I love them: capturing the soul of a building balancing rigorous architectural photography and pure photojournalism. I was keeping an eye on the game and an eye on the building!

One of two stories featured in The Plan Magazine this month... Maya Lin’s elegant and refined addition to Smith College’s Nielson Library in Massachusetts. This shoot was carefully choreographed with students during the heighth of the pandemic last winter.It was an unusual shoot where I worked with about 200 student ‘actors’ in creating the semblance of a functional library, at a time when the campus was actually closed. Ahh the oddities of pandemic shoots, but an interesting exercise in choreography nonetheless.

The Plan #134 cover story- The US Olympic and Paralympic Museum by Diller Scofidio +Renfro. It’s great to see an edgier alternative image chosen for the cover. The image was taken to highlight the contrast of the building and its environment, but also to reflect on the importance of rail development in the historic expansion into the west...and the relationship of Colorado Springs with this expansion
