So, tonight I had a great little walkabout to check out some of the big construction projects around the city.

Nearing completion are the Deloitte Summit office tower at 410 W. Georgia St, and diagonally across the intersection is The Post office development, consisting of new towers built on top of the former main post office building. Also at the intersection is the Vancouver Public Library.

Further downtown is The Stack at 1133 Melville Street, another new office tower.

After that is the curved 1550 Alberni residences, home to the most expensive one bedroom condo in the city right now, 788 square feet for the princely sum of $2,099,999. (It’s not even a good floor plan, see comments)

Finally, and closest to home, is The Butterfly, going up across the street from me.

I gave myself a Christmas present of a great little tripod. It is super sturdy and can hold my DSLR camera and has a clip to hold my phone, too - it even has a Bluetooth remote shutter, which I love!

It was a beautiful day here in Vancouver, so I tried it out with a time lapse of the sunset this evening. I’m looking forward to seeing what else I can do with my new toy! 😀📷

I’ve wanted to get this shot for a while, but there have always been too many people in the shot. Tonight as I was leaving the SeaBus at Waterfront Station, I was finally able to get it!
