hello friends, we are about to make our way to France for two months - March - April .... maybe into May!...our plan is to stay in Villereal (close to Bergerac)
where Sylvianne's family lives. I will be in Nimes March 27th, with jean-félix bernetel photographe to do a one day presentation to his students at the University. We will stay for a few days to enjoy good company and delicious foods. Then unto Lyon for Easter...... I have lots of time and would love to hear from friends I haven't seen in some time; if there's an opportunity to share some photographic knowledge all the better..... open to possibilities and a good glass of wine!

In this hands-on session, Dave shows you how to interpret the lighting magic of a space photographically. In addition to this our photographic hero will expand further by creating an evocative fine-art portrait with the subject-lighting tailored specifically to the subject’s character. That character will be photographed against a magical glowing candle-lit/lantern-lit art studio and will be done so without sacrificing the romance of the environment.

In this workshop participants will learn to:
Photograph people on location
Balance technology with creativity
Use camera exposure as a creative tool
Manipulate light to tell your subject’s story
Use minimal equipment with maximum effect
Drink coffee while taking notes

CREATING WITH LIGHT: The stress caused by the Corona Virus 🦠 and being stranded in France has my wife Sylvianne suffering from elevated testosterone levels hence the 5 O’clock shadow — or moustache!
