The bridge between two worlds.

There was a time when the messages in my dreams scared me enough that I ran far from them in this reality, muffling the sound of spirit.
Eventually, I began to sit with myself
both in this world and the dream world
and I realized they were connected.
I realized they both held the same power.
There was nothing to be afraid of and nothing to run from,
but rather something to lean into.
Art saved me in that way.
I would receive these messages and instead of running,
I would take the vivid dreams, the unspoken thoughts and internal chaos and translate them into the physical.
I accepted that art is a mirror of the soul, rather than something to be approved of by external sources.
And that was the exact moment the healing took root.

Someone said "Maybe you don't notice your progress because you're always raising the bar." And that hit me like a train. Sometimes we need to pause & pat ourselves on the back, look at how far we've come & know that little you and every past version of you is so so proud. ❤️

Creating through it.

I’ve realized that making art is how I continue to take deep breaths.
When things feel heavy, I create.
When I feel lost, art is always there.
Not a big production, but between laughs with friends- all leaving feeling a little bit lighter. That’s what this shoot was about.
Two small lights, three friends, one camera and a lot of windows.

Social media seems too curated sometimes.. like everything has to be perfect or come out perfect.
It’s almost like there’s this fear of being seen as something other than we are. But who are we if we’re curating ourselves into unreachable perfection?
