Super Lunar Mid-Autumn Eclipse: Photos from last night's lunar eclipse from Kits Beach. After a little stumbling in the dark in the park we managed to find the blood moon over Vancouver. At first it was super faint but as the minutes rolled by the moon began to reveal it's face, eventually glowing to it's full brightness at the end of the night. It's such a rare sight to have an eclipse at the same time of a super moon! Super awesome!

Photos from Joksularlon in the south coast of Iceland. Ice from the Vatnajokul glacier melts into this beautiful lagoon and flows into the ocean. Depending on the tides the icebergs often get washed up on the beach, creating this surreal landscape where the white ice contrasts the black sand.

Hike to Elfin Lakes. I did this hike earlier in July and it was one of the most scenic hikes I've done thus far. There are endless panoramic views along the ridge line looking into Garibaldi Provincial Park. Can't wait to go back!

Milky Way photos from a few weeks back. It was a surprisingly clear and dark night at Porteau Cove during a new moon. The dock was completely dark unlike it was two weeks before during the super moon and you can easily see the milky way even with your naked eyes! It was a perfect night to do some star gazing, I even spotted and got a few shots of some meteors, which made up for the super moon during the Leonids two weeks before.
