One thing couples ask me all the time: “Do we really need a second photographer?”
Short answer? Not always. A LOT of weddings are beautifully covered with just me 🤍 But depending on your day, having a second photographer can be super helpful.
A few reasons why couples choose to add one:
• You’re getting ready in different locations and want both perspectives covered
• More candid moments throughout the day (guest reactions, cocktail hour, parents, little in-between moments, etc.)
• Extra angles during the ceremony and speeches
• Things tend to run a bit smoother/faster during portraits and family photos
• More overall coverage of the story of your day from start to finish
That being said — if your wedding is smaller, more intimate, all in one location, or you simply don’t feel like you need two photographers… that is completely okay too.
At the end of the day, it’s less about “more photographers = better wedding” and more about choosing coverage that actually makes sense for your day 🫶
