There’s something pretty special about photographing people you love. ❤️

I got to spend a little time with this beautiful friend of mine and capture some fresh headshots for her.

Good light, a beautiful location, a few laughs, and just letting her be herself. ✨

I think headshots should still feel like you. Not stiff, overly posed, or like you’re being forced into some corporate version of yourself.

And honestly… she made my job ridiculously easy. 😍

A little wild. A little dramatic. A little moody. And definitely surrounded by way too many balloons. 🤣🎈

I took these photos of myself for my 40th birthday, and honestly… I think they might be some of my favourite photos I’ve ever taken.

There’s something about turning 40 that feels different.

I’m not interested in shrinking myself anymore. I’m not interested in being who everyone else thinks I should be.

I’m learning to embrace every weird, beautiful, messy, complicated part of myself.

This is 40.

Here’s to the next chapter. ✨

Blink... and Miss W isn't that little anymore, but these photographs will always bring us back to this exact moment. A mother's embrace. Tiny hands. Golden light. The kind of memories that deserve to be held onto forever.

We invite all members of Saik'uz First Nation to participate in our upcoming Say Their Name event, which aims to raise awareness about the numerous missing and murdered individuals within our community. The event will take place at Saik'uz First Nation Potlatch House and we encourage attendance by community members, including men, women, children, and families of MMIP. Participants are encouraged to wear red attire or traditional clothing, such as ribbon skirts, shirts, and regalia, and to bring drums, feathers, birch hats, and posters of loved ones. Posters of Jay Raphael and Ronald McCook will be provided for use. Registration is required by email or text, as per the contact information listed on the flyer. Please note that a media release form and participation waiver will be required upon registration. This event will be conducted with utmost respect for our missing and murdered loved ones, and attendees are expected to refrain from alcohol, drugs, and disruptive behavior. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event.

RAMONA WILSON

16 year old Ramona Wilson went missing on June.11,1994 in Smithers BC, She is a member of Gitxsan Nation and youngest of six children to mom Matilda Wilson. Sadly, Her remains were found on April.10,1995 in the woods behind Smithers Airport. Ruled a homicide- still unsolved.

A little sneak peeks from our second MMIP awareness shoot 🖤

This was another powerful day of remembrance, love, and standing together for our missing and murdered loved ones.

We also officially began our project, where families and friends are adding handprints and the names of their loved ones to carry with us through future awareness shoots.

Our 'Say Their Name' project commenced yesterday. A banner bearing the handprints and names of loved ones taken from us will be displayed at every awareness event we can attend. Anyone can participate, and multiple signatures with the same name are acceptable. If attendance is not possible, we can include names and handprints on your behalf. Additional panels are available for when the banner is full, and it will be recombined at a later time
