Throwing back to the Pacific-est beach smack in the middle of Manitoba. Woke up in the dark to shoot sunrise which never came. But a very empty beach first thing in the morning was very peaceful ❤️

A big misconception about couples photos is that they are romantic in some really big dramatic way.

Most of the time it's really simple. Standing close and looking at one another, this stuff lives on.

Safe to say that I'm forever obsessed with the golden glow of sunset and making couples into their very own romantic movie posters.

This image took a few seconds - perfect use of the light we were given, a simple direction asking them to slow down and be with one another for a few moments, one "oh my god yes -- hold that!" from me.

Steph wanted her branding session to reflect her, her studio, and her art in a way that felt authentic and brought everything together in a polished and cohesive way.

She’s a nature inspired girlie which you can see the moment you step onto the premises. Her studio is surrounded by the nature that inspires her, and when you step inside you can see her eclectic and dark artsy style has brought elements of nature and fantasy into the space.

She wanted images with atmosphere, light and shadow, and deep rich colour that she also emulates into her own tattoo work.

Done be scared of the bones and insects on display though, Steph is such a warm and inviting person. You’ll feel right at home in her cozy space with silent films and chill, interesting music while she works.
