This Degas inspired moment from the Sodance Vernon Class pics, was taken as nothing more than a lighting test snapped whilst the dancers were getting organized.
But the moment I saw it whilst culling the images, I knew I had to do something with it!🩰😁

I had the absolutely best time yesterday, watching my two favourite dance studios competing at the Centre Stage Dance Challenge.
Amazing results, amazing atmosphere, amazing day!
Watching dance is good for my soul. Seriously.
Thank you, Lake Country School of Dance and Sodance Vernon!
As their photographer, I don't get to really "see" all of the incredible dances and dancers while I'm shooting.
For me through the lens of a camera, it's an endless stream of capturing tiny moments and constantly worrying about composition, missing a moment, how grainy the image will be and trying to make sure there are no blurry hands or feet!!
So it was an absolute joy to be able to just sit back and appreciate the stunning choreography and skill, power, artistry and grace of these amazing dancers. You ROCK!🔥
