Life can change in a moment. Ours did.

Three months ago, Greg and I moved into our dream home with my parents—finally stepping into the calm and steady love we had both longed for. But just weeks later, cancer took him.

I was his caregiver through it all. And now, I’m grieving, exhausted, and trying to hold on to the life we’d just begun. Without Greg’s presence, support, and income, I can’t afford the mortgage or the care this home requires. We didn’t just lose him—we lost the future we were building.

This GoFundMe is my way of asking for help—for a chance to keep the home Greg loved so much, and to find my footing again.

With a shattered heart, I want to let you know that my dear, sweet Greg has passed on.

After a sudden and devastating return of his cancer, Greg left this world just weeks after we moved into our dream home together. He chose a peaceful, medically assisted passing on May 27th. I was by his side as he took his last breaths—wrapped in love, heartbreak, and grace.

Our time together was short, but truly magical. We fought so hard to find each other. Our love was deep, honest, and hard-won. He made me feel safe and loved in a way I never thought possible. Anyone who knew Greg would say: to know him was to love him. He was the most incredible human I have ever known, and every single day I was honoured that he chose to love me.

Now I’m left trying to fathom a world without him in it.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, sent love, or held us quietly in your hearts. I may not be able to reply, but please know that I feel your care.

Greg, you have my whole heart. I will carry you with me, always.
