Kelsey was a speaker at the 2015 and 2017 Canada Photo conventions as well as a speaker in Photographer's Ignite at the world's largest photography conference in Vegas, WPPI. She has headlined conferences for the PPOC and teaches private workshops.

Since being on maternity leave, I realized that even though I’ve been baby spamming my personal IG (follow for the cuteness!), I forgot to introduce you all here to my daughter, Wylder Scottie Davidson!

I can’t believe it’s already been two months (and I’m back to work for the wedding season next month).

She is even more than I imagined and my heart is so full ❤️.

Hello Instagram, it’s been awhile!

This year has been so busy in all the best ways so I’ve been quiet online. I meant to post my annual birthday self portrait but wasn’t feeling well at the time so I’m taking this as an opportunity to celebrate myself, my daughter and the man behind both of us.

We can’t wait to meet you sweet girl - this might be my favourite bday portrait yet!
It was all the more special because it was the last shoot taken in my downtown studio space (slated for demolition shortly), where I have grown as a creative, an entrepreneur and as a woman these past 10 years. The end of an era, the beginning of a new one!

Aaand we’re back again this year with Christmas Minis by Kgood!

Each session will be up to 15 minutes of shooting and up to 10 minutes for selecting & printing images and processing payment. Prints are created on-site and delivered at the end of the session.

Pricing:
$49.00 / session fee (does not include prints or digital files)
$49.00 / photo or your top 5 for $199.00

Each 4x6 print purchased comes with a paper folio and the high resolution digital file! Additional prints are available to purchase on-site for all of your Christmas cards as well!

We have also teamed up with a local organization, Living Edge Program. They provide FREE, fresh groceries available to students as well as working families, single moms and dads, the elderly and others in the suburbs. If you bring a minimum $25.00 gift card to any grocery store or general store such as Walmart, or minimum $25.00 cash donation to your session, we will gift you 1 photo ($49 value) for your kindness! Because when you find yourself shooting in the Mojave desert with your talented photog friend , you put on a dress and try not to blow off a mountain!

Something no one told me about the tests of motherhood is that it would begin in the first trimester.
A season that, for me, was so much more physically and emotionally debilitating than I imagined.
I am grateful, exhausted and immeasurably excited.
I have learned to develop new strength, self-compassion and above all to surrender.

My dear child, we are both becoming.

Hey! It’s been awhile. If you’re new here, welcome! I’m Kelsey and here are a few things about me:

- I have been a full-time award-winning photographer and entrepreneur since I was 21 (just over 10 years ago!)

- Since then I have worked all over the world with some pretty amazing people. Fun story: I once photographed the Angolan Vice President’s daughter’s wedding in Luanda.

- There’s pretty much nothing I can’t shoot, I do it all from wedding and portrait to commercial, from local small businesses to companies like Uber. I also do video.

- My favourite things to photograph are human connection, fashion and other artists at work!

- I have been an industry educator and speaker for 8 years, whatever level you are at, I have a program for you! From my hobbyist classes to group business coaching. Many of my students have gone from using their camera for the first time to launching successful photography businesses under my wing. It’s a very fulfilling part of my career.

- I have had my downtown studio for 9 years that I rent out to other photographers and creatives for cheap! Check out

- I also own a CrossFit gym with my hubby called . I have a habit of turning my passions into businesses. We are moving our location to Langford soon so that is exciting!

- I’m an Aquarius, I’m secretly lazy, and I love dill pickles and anything design.

Just wanted to share these stunner images from a recent classic in-studio maternity shoot.

Carmalita was one of my first ever clients in 2011 when I started my business and it’s been a joy to photograph her journey through life and motherhood.

I told her give me Forest Gump Jenny vibes on the stool and she nailed it, next we channeled “Virgo” with the wind and dried flowers and I asked her what her sign was and she said Virgo and I’m like get out 😂. We had a lot of fun and I got to meet her adorable toddler Oscar.

Who wants to build a snow fort?

Took this rare snowy island wonderland as an opportunity to take some iPhone triggered Sony tripod selfies on my balcony.
I’ve also been re-watching Vikings so this is definitely inspired by those vibes.
Edited on my phone with Lightroom Mobile.

Phone projects are the best! Especially when you need something to do while waiting for a cab since your car is stuck somewhere 😂.
At least it’s pretty!

Recently I had the pleasure of capturing a talented young lady in my studio. This is Sarah and she is applying to dance school. Once we got a couple of good headshots in the bag for her application, we had some fun with music and movement and she did her thing while I snapped on. I love working with other artists of all mediums and often get to be serenaded in my studio or in a beautiful location by musicians, dancers, singers, painters and the wits and wonders of others talented in their craft. It’s one of my favourite experiences behind a camera, offering yet another medium to tell their stories. Thank you for inviting me to tell your story and for letting me experiment with more abstract captures which I am excited to incorporate into all upcoming shoots after the intended shot is captured.

Do you have a nice camera that you don't know how to use?

Have you always wanted to learn photography but find it overwhelming to learn on your own?

Over 10 years ago when I was in photography school, I felt afraid that I was going to fail my entire program because I couldn't grasp the fundamentals of shooting in manual.
My creative brain didn't get the math involved - the way I was taught felt like old-school systems (something about fractions yaddy yadda).

There was no way I was going to read my fine print camera manual and understand it!
I wrote in my journal "I know I have something special with my eye but I feel discouraged and worried that I'm never going to fully understand how my camera works and I'm frustrated that my vision rarely looks like the final image".

Since then I have been a full-time award-winning world-travelling photographer and I've learned that the emotional impact of an image is far more important than it's technical aspects and mastering the tools to relate to that vision is just as important.

After my clients started asking, I created Lens Lessons. My approach is not by the book. I focus on appealing to the creative mind with hands-on learning for a fun and informative experience.
What just a few of my students have created since last year's course:
