winnie rae— you’re five months today!

i am having so much fun with you, my girl. you make mama and daddy laugh so hard. you’re noisy, a bit of a monkey, and have the cutest giggle. your crinkle nose open smile is my favourite thing… and you do it often, you’re such a happy little girl!

you enjoy singing babble songs, making fwoofers on your arm and on mama, and pulling on daddy’s beard.
it’s so neat to see the wheels turning in your head— you are figuring out so many things. you can reach for, grasp, and put your soother in your mouth all by yourself.

i feel like we just skipped over your four month sleep regression… there was only a night or two of weird wake ups, but you’re still not a big fan of daytime naps.

you roll from back to tummy any chance you get, even in your bassinet. you’re clearly over laying on your back as you like to stand with help from mama and daddy, and prefer to sit wedged between cushions.
you like to grab your feet and put your toes in your mouth… barefoot or with jammies on, it doesn’t matter (you’re a master at getting your socks and shoes off). you also try to get your whole fist in your mouth OR both your thumbs at one time.

you are so interested in what your sisters are doing these days. your eyes follow them everywhere, and we’re learning to pet “gentle”.

gangnam style and william tell overture are two of your newer fave songs, especially when mama “dances” to them with you. we do a lot of dancing.

we celebrated your first christmas and new years, and you are missing all the pretty lights. you had lots of family time and snuggles, and attempt to catch two more doggy tails.

you’re a busy bee, but thank goodness you still like snuggling with the mama (and the odd contact nap).

can’t believe you’re five months old, little girl. love you so much.
